Surrounded by flowers, gardens and banana plants the holidayhome Santo António is situated in Lugar de Baixo on the westcoast of Madeira. A pittoresque terrace in front of the home and a murmuring watercourse built up a rural idyll with hospitable landlords and neighbours. Children can roam the environs easily. In a radius of 50 m and down to the main road only village footpaths or lanes with little traffic. In the background you have mountains with an imposing waterfall, to the other side the wide sea – the rocks to reach within two minutes' footwalk.

A grocery and two restaurants are in the village, further restaurants and supermarkets in neighbouring Ribeira Brava, 2 km away. The rocks of Lugar de Baixo are crowded in summertime.

Manor Apartment

The ground floor holiday apartment provides on ca. 75 sq.m a small living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen (well equipped) and a bathroom. The bedrooms are furnished originally antique. Religious symbols (e.g. statues of Madonna) are part of the Portuguese décor. The overnight stay costs 38 EUR for a couple, for a third and fourth person 10 EUR surplus each. A washing machine serves you on demand. Guests of the two holiday apartments on the first floor have an own access which is seperated from the terrace by a folding screen.

Holiday Apartments

Two holiday apartments are on the first floor of Casa Santo António. They are built up in 2005 and have an area of 50 sq.m each. They are furnished in a light and "plushy" manner. The trump of the apartments is outside. That is to say on the respective terraces with impressing views. The apartments provide each a well equipped kitchen, a living room, a bedroom and a 4 sq.m large bathroom with a shower.

Apartment Sol e Mar

To this apartment belongs a 45 sq.m large southwest facing patio on the roof top of the home Santo António. A few steps from the apartment lead up there. The patio overlooks the whole bay of Lugar de Baixo, the green slopes which surround the valley, the banana plantations arround the home, Ribeira Brava and its beach to the left and the marina to the right before the wide horizon of the Atlantic Ocean. The overnight stay costs 43 EUR for two persons.

Apartment Azul e Verde

The essence of this apartment is the 12 sq.m large terrace in front of it. There you overlook the green slopes of the valley of Lugar de Baixo and the wide sea. The terraces faces south east. It is seperated by a folding screen from the neighbouring apartment door. The overnight stay costs 39 EUR for two persons.
